it would stop people viewing the forum for info,if they registered,they could take part,if they didnt then they cant get any info Roll Eyes

TAT2 is right it would stop a lot of people that just like to read it. Also people find the forum from google searches who come across it just by chance and it would stop them reading it as well.

I think its a good idea to restrict the forum to members only, other areas such as waters etc... are obviously open viewing but you don't want to be washing your linen in public as they say, and news of good catches travels fast without being able to read it openly.

Hmmm think we are talking about two different things here. Pete was suggesting having to register to view the forum which wouldn't stop non members viewing the forum after all it only takes a minute to register.

It could be made that only members of the association, (and all the work that entails), could view the forum or certain sections of it but to be honest it still wouldn't make any difference to what I would and wouldn't post on here.
