I am very saddend to have to report the passing of a good old friend and fellow official of the association.
Paul Waring 48yrs, sadly passed away this morning 6th Feb leaving a widow Kim two sons Johnny and Phill and a daughter Laura Jane, he will be greatly and sadly missed by all those who new Paul.
Although he was very poorly with brain tumour over the last few years, he worked very hard for Newton le Willows Anglers association, he and brother Garry where very involved in the works that took place at White Door Dam and the new peg program at Penkford bridge, the new signs at the canal and many other things.
Paul always put his health problems behind whatever he was trying to do at that time, if you knew him he was your friend, and would help you when he could, I never heard him have a bad word for any other soul, and you could count on him to do what he said.
I'd known Paul for more years than I care to remember, he and his late father George served on the committee during the eighties so he had a long and productive history with the association, my thoughts are with Kim and his family at this time, God bless.

I don't think I ever met him, but I would like to send my condolences to his family and friends.

I would like to thank Eddie for his words regarding the passing away of my late brother Paul. In my last conversation with Paul he was still promoting the association and urging me to be active with the work parties and I know that he had asked our brother Gary to put his tackle in the car and take him down to the canal, even though he was bedbound for the last few weeks.He was proud of his association with Newton le Willows AA as we all are. Thank you

May I pass on my deepest sympathy to Paul's family I have known Paul since we were kids at school, a great mate who will be missed very much by this association and anyone who knew him.

Pauls funeral is at St Johns Parish Church, St Johns St, Earlestown on Thursday at 1-00 oclock, I know he many friends at Newton le Willows A Asc so if any of you can make it please go along.
